Why NordVPN Fails in China
NordVPN relies on NordLynx, which is a rebranded implementation of WireGuard. While fast and secure, WireGuard has a fatal flaw for censorship resistance: its packet headers are instantly recognizable.
The Great Firewall's TSG (Traffic Signature Generator) modules have natively supported WireGuard detection since 2023. They don't need to decrypt the traffic—they simply identify the high-entropy UDP stream and the distinctive WireGuard handshake signature.
